The Government of Nepal has officially renamed the health ministry as the Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene following a decision of the Council of Ministers. According to the circular, the change was incorporated under the Government of Nepal (Allocation of Business) Rules, 2083 and published in the Nepal Gazette on Baisakh 30, 2083.
The ministry has instructed all subordinate agencies and offices to implement the new name as soon as possible. The circular directs them to update official banners, letterheads, websites, seals/stamps and other institutional materials to reflect the revised ministry name.
The notice, issued by the ministry’s Internal Administration Branch, is intended to ensure uniform use of the new name across government health institutions and administrative communications.
