The Ministry of Education and Sports has released its updated disclosure for Baisakh to Asar 2083 under Nepal’s Right to Information framework, detailing institutional reforms and achievements during the government’s first 100 days. Under a “delivery-based governance” approach, the ministry says it has begun working toward publishing SEE results within one month of examinations, Grade 12 results within 40 days and university results within 65 days. It has also linked the NOC system with Tribhuvan University and Kathmandu University through APIs and prepared interoperability between the online NOC system and the National Identification Number system. During the reporting period, 40,413 students received NOCs, 12,210 educational certificates were authenticated and all 212 complaints received through Hello Sarkar were settled.

In school education, the ministry reports progress on infrastructure, quality assessment and inclusion. 108 classrooms were completed in western Nepal’s earthquake-affected districts, while another 170 classrooms were under construction; work was also progressing on 73 classrooms and toilets in nine schools damaged by the Bajhang earthquake. The ministry prepared frameworks for school infrastructure audits and education support for children with autism, entered profiles of out-of-school children into IEMIS, completed a national Grade 5 learning achievement assessment, evaluated the leadership performance of 200 head teachers and 100 community schools, and began revising the national school curriculum framework. It also prepared rules aimed at regulating foreign-affiliated educational programmes and education consultancies.

Sports programmes also expanded during the period. Kathmandu hosted the CAVA Women’s Nations League, while a national competition involving athletics, volleyball, kabaddi, karate, taekwondo and wushu brought together 686 athletes from all seven provinces. Nepal also participated in 47 international competitions and programmes, and Nepal Scout mobilised 5,806 volunteers for national events and public-awareness activities while providing scout and disaster-management training. Financially, the ministry reported total expenditure of about Rs 410.29 million in FY 2082/83, including 69.72% execution of its recurrent allocation and 53.76% of its capital allocation.
