The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has made public its third quarterly report for fiscal year 2082/83, covering the period from Magh to Chaitra 2082, under the Right to Information Act, 2064 and related rules. The report presents the office’s structure, responsibilities, staffing, key activities, spokesperson details, legal framework, financial progress, and information requests handled during the period.

During this quarter, the office reported that 13 Cabinet meetings were held and 203 decisions were made. In addition, 4 Cabinet committee meetings produced 10 decisions, while 81 Cabinet decisions were forwarded to concerned ministries through the ICAS system for implementation and monitoring.

The report highlights several major works, including coordination for the safety of Nepalis affected by Middle East developments, instructions to improve fuel supply management, discussions on a Personal Data Protection Policy draft, implementation of the “Zero Pending File Week” campaign, and follow-up on the government’s 100-point governance reform agenda.

The Hello Government grievance system also handled a large number of public complaints. In the third quarter, 9,239 complaints were forwarded to concerned bodies, of which 2,480 were resolved. Up to Chaitra, a total of 87,448 complaints had been registered in the system, with 55,886 complaints, or 63.91%, resolved.

The office also stated that 44 information requests submitted under the Right to Information Act during the quarter were answered. Financially, the report shows third-quarter expenditure progress of 10.94% under recurrent spending and 19.72% under capital spending.
