The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies has circulated the World Trade Organization’s invitation for the 2026 WTO Blended Advanced Trade Policy Course (ATPC) in English. The programme is the WTO’s Level 3 training, its highest tier under the progressive learning framework, and is designed for government officials already engaged in WTO-related work. The common online segment will run from June 22 to July 17, 2026, followed by two separate Geneva sessions from September 14 to October 9 and November 16 to December 11, 2026.
The course aims to strengthen participants’ ability to handle trade-policy formulation, WTO negotiations, dispute settlement, monitoring and implementation through case studies, simulations, exercises and practical use of WTO databases and analytical tools. Participants will also attend selected WTO meetings and interact with Secretariat officials, delegates and representatives of international organizations.
Eligible candidates should be government officials directly involved in WTO work, possess strong knowledge of WTO agreements and preferably have completed a Level 2 WTO training programme within the past five years. Excellent spoken and written English is required. WTO members and observers may nominate up to five candidates, while two groups of 30 participants each will ultimately be selected for the two editions.
The WTO will provide 30 fellowships for each Geneva segment, covering a round-trip economy-class air ticket, daily subsistence allowance, terminal expenses and accommodation. Applications endorsed by the candidate and the nominating national authority must reach the WTO through the relevant Permanent Mission or Embassy by May 29, 2026.
