The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration has issued a staffing directive following the severe flooding that struck the Bhote Koshi area. The ministry said additional manpower was needed to support disaster-management coordination and related recovery work, and ordered the listed employees to report immediately to their newly assigned locations.
The reassignment covers 30 deputy-secretary-level officials and nine section officers, drawn from the federal ministry, the Ministry of Finance, the Election Commission, the National Cooperative Regulatory Authority, the Survey Department, the Nepal Administrative Staff College and several municipalities and rural municipalities. Many of the officers have been deployed to local governments in flood-affected areas, while others have been assigned according to administrative need.
The notice states that the transfers were made to ensure faster field-level coordination, service continuity and implementation of government decisions in areas affected by the disaster. The employees have been instructed to leave their current posts without delay and join the designated offices immediately.
The move reflects the government’s effort to reinforce administrative capacity in affected localities by mobilizing experienced civil servants from across different agencies for emergency response, recovery and public-service management.
