The Government of Nepal has finalized programmes for Civil Service Day 2083, to be observed on Bhadra 22, under the slogan “Professional and Creative Administration: Development, Prosperity and Good Governance.” A central ceremony committee chaired by the Chief Secretary has been formed to coordinate the national observance, alongside an organizing subcommittee involving senior officials from key ministries, constitutional bodies and government agencies.
The programme includes cleaning government office premises, blood-donation activities, tree plantation and a formal central ceremony. Government employees have been instructed to participate in cleaning their respective workplaces, while blood donation will be organized in coordination with the Nepal Red Cross Society. Tree-plantation activities are also planned with support from the concerned environment and forestry authorities.
The main official ceremony is scheduled for the morning of Bhadra 22 at the Singha Durbar premises, in the open area in front of the old National Assembly building, with participation from officials representing ministries, commissions, agencies and government offices. The programme will include addresses from senior officials and discussions on the current condition, challenges and future direction of Nepal’s civil service.
Provincial governments, District Coordination Committees and local governments have also been instructed to organize their own programmes, including clean-up campaigns, tree planting, blood donation, sports, interaction programmes and formal ceremonies. The nationwide observance is intended to promote professionalism, accountability, good governance and stronger public-service delivery across Nepal’s civil administration.
