The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport has issued a press release informing that office-bearers of public bodies under the ministry have been relieved of their posts under Section 2(1) of the Ordinance on Special Arrangements for Filling Public Office-Bearer Posts, 2083.
According to the notice, the decision applies from 2083/01/19 and covers officials of the Nepal Engineering Council, Road Board Nepal and Nepal Railway Board. In total, 20 office-bearers listed in the notice have been removed from their respective positions.
The list includes Nepal Engineering Council Chairperson Prof. Dr. Padam Bahadur Shahi, Vice-Chairperson Er. Dr. Bikas Adhikari, Registrar Er. Dhruva Raj Bhattarai, and other council members. It also includes four members of Road Board Nepal and three officials of Nepal Railway Board, including Railway Administrator Balram Mishra and members Swikriti Sharma and Mustak Ansari.
