The Ministry of Education and Sports has announced an Autism-Based Model School program on the occasion of Autism Awareness Day. The ministry stated that the program aims to provide more inclusive, accessible, and specialized learning opportunities for children with autism.
According to the ministry, the initiative will be implemented in coordination with provincial and local governments, schools, experts, and concerned stakeholders. The program will focus on improving learning environments, preparing trained teachers, developing suitable teaching methods, and strengthening facilities required for children with autism.
The ministry has also emphasized the need for cooperation among government bodies, schools, parents, civil society, and organizations working in the disability sector. It said the program is expected to help children with autism receive education in a supportive environment and contribute to their overall development and social inclusion.
