The Ministry of Education and Sports has issued a press release responding to media reports about free MBBS study support for Ekata Shah, who was injured and became disabled during the Gen-Z movement held on Bhadra 23 and 24, 2082. The ministry said its attention was drawn to reports claiming that the government had made a decision to provide her a free MBBS study opportunity.
According to the ministry, Shah had passed the MBBS entrance examination conducted by the Medical Education Commission for the academic year 2082/83 with 57.5 marks. The ministry stated that the decision was taken under the provisions of the procedure related to relief and support for those injured or disabled during the Gen-Z protests.
The ministry further clarified that the decision was made on the basis of the request from the Medical Education Commission and the proposal submitted by the ministry in line with the rules and legal process.
