The Ministry of Finance has announced that the Revenue Advisory Committee has submitted its report to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle. The report was prepared to support the government’s upcoming annual policy, program and budget for fiscal year 2083/84.
The committee studied issues related to revenue policy, tax laws, tax rates, revenue administration reforms, customs improvement, non-tax revenue and institutional restructuring. It also held consultations with private sector organizations, business representatives and relevant stakeholders.
According to the ministry, the report includes practical suggestions for improving revenue collection, making the tax system more effective and supporting budget preparation. The ministry said the recommendations will be useful while finalizing the upcoming budget and revenue policy.
