The government has proposed a bill allowing it to raise up to Rs. 410 billion in public debt for implementing the FY 2083/84 budget.

The Beruju Clearance Monitoring Committee’s annual report says Rs. 39.60 billion in arrears was cleared or adjusted in FY 2081/82, while ministries were asked to clear at least 60 percent of outstanding beruju by Asar 2082.

Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle presented the budget statement for fiscal year 2083/84 at the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament. The government has announced
