Share

Summary:

Nepal has opened a Civil Service Employees Hospital service unit inside the Singha Durbar premises to provide government employees with easier access to basic health check-ups, blood tests and other primary health services.

The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration announced that the new health service unit began operating from Asar 19, 2083 (3 July 2026). The unit has been established on the ground floor of the ministry building within the Singha Durbar complex with the aim of making health services more accessible to civil servants working in the area.

The unit is being operated through the Civil Service Employees Hospital and is intended primarily for government employees and service users. It will provide general health examinations, blood tests and other basic healthcare services on a regular basis, reducing the need for employees to travel outside the government complex for routine medical attention.

According to the ministry, the initiative is also expected to help manage the growing number of patients at the Civil Service Employees Hospital while ensuring quicker access to examination and treatment for employees. The government expects the service to contribute positively to employee health promotion, workplace wellbeing and improved work performance.
