Share

Summary:

Nepal has directed all municipalities and rural municipalities to submit FY 2082/83 progress reports for agriculture and livestock programmes implemented through conditional fiscal transfers.

The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration has circulated a request to all local governments concerning the progress of programmes funded through conditional fiscal transfers. The notice, dated Asar 32, 2083 (16 July 2026), follows a letter from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forest and Environment seeking implementation progress for agriculture and livestock-sector programmes.

The programmes were transferred to local levels in FY 2082/83 through the Department of Agriculture and Department of Livestock Services with the objective of increasing agricultural production and productivity. Local governments have been asked to compile the progress of activities carried out under these conditional grants and provide the required information in accordance with the Agriculture Ministry’s instructions.

The notice specifies separate reporting channels for the two sectors. Progress information relating to the agriculture sector should be sent to doanepal.reporting@gmail.com, while information relating to livestock services should be submitted to dls.localprovincepragati@gmail.com. The Agriculture Ministry was copied on the circular, and the federal administration ministry’s IT branch was instructed to publish the notice online.
