The Government of Nepal’s Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation has announced its intention to award a Rs 890,624 contract to Basaha Enterprises, Anamnagar, Kathmandu, for the supply and delivery of stationery and other office-related goods. According to a Letter of Intent issued on May 15, 2026, the procurement falls under contract reference SQ-MOEWRI-GOODS-082/83-01. The ministry confirmed that the company’s bid, valued at Rs 890,624 inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT), was determined to be the lowest substantially responsive evaluated bid following the assessment and corrections conducted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The ministry has instructed Basaha Enterprises to complete all necessary formalities within seven days of the issuance or publication of the Letter of Intent, in accordance with the Public Procurement Act, 2063, and Public Procurement Regulations, 2064. The notification was signed by Engineer Madhav Pyakurel and copied to four other participating firms: Arpan International, Welcome Enterprises, Gangsagarnath Enterprises and M.J. Multipurpose Pvt. Ltd., all based in Kathmandu.
The document confirms the ministry’s intention to award the contract rather than the completion of a final contractual agreement. It does not specify the delivery schedule, quantities of office supplies or confirmation that the agreement has already been signed.
