The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has issued a public notice declaring 100 agricultural machinery items and 20 categories of agricultural inputs as “essential need” goods. The decision aims to ensure smooth supply, transportation, storage, and distribution of agricultural materials required for farming activities across Nepal.
According to the ministry, uninterrupted availability of these inputs is necessary to maintain agricultural production, improve productivity, and support farmers during the cultivation season. The government has urged suppliers, distributors, transporters, and all related stakeholders to cooperate in managing and delivering agricultural inputs efficiently throughout the country.
The notice also states that the public can directly report complaints or issues related to the supply and management of agricultural inputs to the ministry through the designated contact person.
