Summary:

Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population has invited qualified candidates to apply for three vacant member positions on the Tobacco Products Control and Regulation Committee, including at least one woman from the health and tobacco-control sector.

The Ministry of Health and Population has called for applications to fill vacant positions on the Tobacco Products Control and Regulation Committee under provisions of the Tobacco Products (Control and Regulation) Act, 2068. According to the notice issued by the Health Tax Fund Secretariat, eligible candidates must submit their applications within seven days of publication through the online form specified by the ministry.

The ministry is seeking two members, including at least one woman, from among individuals who have worked in non-governmental organizations established for tobacco and smoking control or in private-sector health institutions. Applicants are required to submit evidence demonstrating that they meet the prescribed qualifications.

A further one member will be selected from among individuals with experience working in the social sector. The recruitment is intended to complete the committee’s membership structure and strengthen implementation of Nepal’s tobacco-control and regulatory framework.
