The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) has called for applications for the vacant post of Executive Director of the Software Development and Operation Center. The notice, published on September 4, 2026 (Bhadra 19, 2083), gives eligible applicants seven days to submit their applications to the Digital Governance and Information Technology Division at Singhadurbar.
Candidates must be Nepali citizens without foreign citizenship or permanent/temporary residency permits and must hold a master’s degree in an information technology-related subject. Applicants need at least 10 years of experience in the IT sector, including a minimum of five years in a C-level role such as CEO, CTO, CIO or equivalent. They must also meet the legal eligibility requirements for appointment to government or public service.
Applicants are required to submit the prescribed application and self-declaration forms, citizenship and educational documents, proof of professional experience, a detailed CV and a Business Action Plan. The selection committee will shortlist candidates before conducting Business Action Plan presentations and interviews. It will then recommend three candidates to the Council of Ministers, which will make the final appointment.
