The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, through the National Fruit Development Project’s Central Project Management Unit in Kirtipur, has called for applications under the Private Fruit Nursery Strengthening Program (Scheme 6). The program is intended to improve the production capacity and quality of fruit nurseries operating in project areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces.

According to the notice, grants of up to 50 percent will be provided for necessary activities related to nursery and infrastructure development and strengthening, with the objective of increasing nursery production capacity and improving the quality of fruit seedlings produced by participating nurseries. The project has requested interested nursery operators to submit applications through the designated project implementation units.

Applicants are required to submit documents including the relevant Schedule 11 application form, Schedule 12 business plan proposal, registration/renewal and tax-clearance documents, company or organizational decision, nursery registration/renewal certificate, company registration documents where applicable, citizenship certificate, land ownership or lease documents, Schedule 13 commitment letter, and other prescribed technical and environmental documents.

The notice states that applications must be submitted within 30 days from the date of publication of the notice. Information and application-related materials are available through the National Fruit Development Project, while applications can be submitted or further information obtained through the Central Project Management Unit in Kirtipur and the designated Project Implementation Units in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpashchim.
