The Ministry of Education and Sports has invited applications from eligible Nepali students for scholarships offered by the Government of Pakistan under the Pakistan Technical Assistance Programme (PTAP) for the 2026 academic session. A total of six B.Sc. Engineering scholarship seats have been allocated: two each in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering. In every discipline, one seat is open competition and one is reserved for a female applicant.

Applicants must have passed Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification and must have their name included in the relevant IOE Pulchowk Bachelor of Engineering entrance examination result. Selection will be based on the IOE entrance merit order. Required documents include the Grade 12 transcript, Nepali citizenship certificate, IOE entrance score card and other documents specified in the notice. Applications are to be submitted through the online form within the deadline stated by the ministry.

The attached correspondence from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu shows that Pakistan requested Nepal to nominate 14 candidates in total—six for B.Sc. Engineering and eight for D. Pharmacy. For admission in Pakistan, engineering applicants are required to have at least 60% marks in HSSC or an equivalent qualification, with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, while D. Pharmacy applicants require at least 60% with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The Pakistani side asked for nominations to be forwarded by July 15, 2026 under the revised PTAP arrangements.
