Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav is paying an official visit to the State of Qatar from July 14 to 16, 2026, representing the Government of Nepal in conveying condolences to the Qatari leadership following the demise of Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the visit on July 14.

During the visit, Vice President Yadav is scheduled to hand over a Letter of Condolences from President Ramchandra Paudel to Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on July 15. The visit reflects Nepal’s expression of sympathy and solidarity with Qatar and its leadership during the period of mourning.

The Vice President will be accompanied by high-ranking government officials and is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on July 16, 2026.
