Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle held a courtesy meeting with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State S. Paul Kapoor at the Ministry of Finance, Singha Durbar, on 2083 Baisakh 8. The meeting focused on Nepal-U.S. relations, mutual cooperation, investment promotion and development assistance.

During the meeting, Minister Wagle thanked the United States for its support in Nepal’s economic and social development. He also highlighted Nepal’s efforts to improve the investment climate through policy and legal reforms, especially in areas such as green energy and information technology.

The U.S. Assistant Secretary expressed interest in strengthening economic cooperation between Nepal and the United States and said the U.S. remains positive toward supporting Nepal’s reform and development efforts. The meeting was attended by officials from the Finance Ministry, Foreign Ministry and the U.S. Embassy.
