Minister for Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities and Social Security Sita Badi held a courtesy meeting with German Ambassador to Nepal H.E. Udo Eugen Volz at the ministry on 2083 Jestha 7.
During the meeting, Minister Badi said Nepal and Germany share friendly and cooperative relations based on mutual respect and trust. She noted that common values such as democracy, human rights, equality and rule of law have strengthened the partnership between the two countries. She also appreciated Germany’s support in Nepal’s governance, education, health, social inclusion and gender development sectors.
Ambassador Volz said Germany’s cooperation with Nepal has continued for a long time and expressed commitment to making the partnership stronger in the coming days. He highlighted Germany’s cooperation with Nepal’s civil society and government institutions, especially in women’s and children’s rights, social security, social inclusion and the role of civil society.
Minister Badi said the ministry has prioritized women’s empowerment, child rights protection, inclusion of gender and sexual minorities, rights of persons with disabilities, senior citizens’ rights and social security. She added that the ministry is committed to working with Germany in gender equality, women’s empowerment, social security and inclusive development.
