Thailand Opens 66 Postgraduate Scholarship Seats for Nepali Government Employees

Summary:

Eligible Nepali government employees can be nominated for 22 TICA-supported master’s and diploma programs in Thailand under the TIPP scholarship scheme for 2026.

The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has issued a notice regarding foreign study and training scholarships received from the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) under the Thailand International Postgraduate Programme (TIPP) 2026.

According to the notice, a committee chaired by the Chief Secretary allocated 22 scholarship programs, with three seats in each program, making a total of 66 seats. The programs cover fields such as sustainable local development, biosciences, organic agriculture, veterinary public health, agriculture research, health and environment, water resources engineering, smart grid technology, public health, mental health, economics, microbiology, industrial chemistry, digital economics, social science, diplomacy and international studies.

The scholarships are targeted at suitable government employees from different services, including administration, engineering, forestry, agriculture, health, foreign affairs, economic planning and statistics, and other relevant technical services. Nominating bodies have been asked to send the selected employee’s details, including name, position, office, scholarship program, mobile number and email, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ South East Asia Division and to seap@mofa.gov.np.

Applicants should be nominated through the official national process, preferably be working in government or a related field, hold a bachelor’s degree or relevant professional experience, have good English ability, be 45 years or below, and be in good physical and mental health. The application deadline mentioned for the programs is 23 February 2026.
