Summary:

Nepal’s Ministry of Education and Sports has invited approved educational counselling, pre-preparation class and language-teaching institutions to renew their operating approval for FY 2083/84 through the ministry’s online CIMS system.

The Ministry of Education and Sports, through its Educational Counselling and Certification Branch, has called on institutions authorised under the Educational Consultancy Services and Language Teaching Directive, 2073 to renew their approval for fiscal year 2083/84. Eligible institutions must submit their renewal applications online through cims.moest.gov.np between Asar 22 and Shrawan 4, 2083. The ministry said applications received after the deadline will not be processed, and institutions that fail to renew will not be authorised to continue providing the relevant services for the fiscal year.

Applicants must upload supporting documents including their tax-clearance certificate, details of services provided during FY 2082/83, the ministry’s original approval and latest renewal letters, and information on authorised representatives. Institutions operating branch offices must also submit registration evidence from the relevant authority and supporting documents such as lease agreements. Any change in an institution’s name, address or other approved details must also be supported by the documents required under the applicable directive. All uploaded documents must be clear and submitted in PDF format.

After an online application is submitted, the ministry will review and verify the information. Only after verification will applicants be required to pay the renewal fee using the revenue voucher generated through the online system. The notice sets the renewal revenue for FY 2082/83 at Rs 20,000, while institutions with renewal dues from earlier fiscal years must additionally pay Rs 3,000 per year for those outstanding years. Institutions will be responsible for the accuracy of all information submitted, and the ministry has provided contact assistance for applicants facing problems with the online process.
