The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) has issued a directive to all ministries, agencies, provincial offices, and local governments to ensure that official contact details on their websites remain updated and accessible to the public.
According to the notice, many complaints and grievances have been received because the names, phone numbers, and details of office chiefs, spokespersons, and information officers are either outdated or missing from government websites. In some cases, office landline and mobile numbers were found to be non-functional, making it difficult for citizens to access government services and information.
The OPMCM has therefore instructed all concerned offices to immediately update and maintain accurate details of responsible officials, including office heads, spokespersons, and information officers, on their official websites. The government says this step is necessary to improve citizen service delivery, communication, and grievance management systems.
