The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a press release informing that 2083 Jestha 14, Thursday will be observed as a public holiday on the occasion of Bakra Eid / Eid-ul-Adha.
According to the ministry, the Nepal Gazette notice published on 2082/11/18 had already included a provision to grant a public holiday on the day of Bakra Eid. The ministry said it received information from the Muslim Commission confirming that Bakra Eid falls on 2083 Jestha 14 this year.
The ministry has requested all concerned to take note of the public holiday. It has also extended heartfelt greetings to Muslims living in Nepal and abroad, as well as to all Nepali citizens, on the occasion of the festival.
