Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal will pay an official visit to India from 5 to 7 June 2026 at the invitation of India’s Minister of External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the visit, Minister Khanal is scheduled to hold a formal meeting with Dr. Jaishankar in New Delhi. The two sides will discuss a range of issues of mutual interest aimed at strengthening cooperation between Nepal and India.
Key areas of discussion will include trade, investment, connectivity, energy cooperation and people-to-people relations. The visit forms part of the regular exchange of high-level engagements between the two neighboring countries.
The ministry said the visit is expected to further consolidate the longstanding and multifaceted relationship between Nepal and India. Minister Khanal is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on 7 June 2026.
