The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has published a notice inviting applications for the vacant post of Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN). The appointment will be made under Section 19(1) of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Act, 2053.
Interested candidates must be currently serving either in the Government of Nepal service or in the CAAN service. Applicants must also declare that they have not obtained foreign citizenship, permanent or temporary residency permit, or similar facilities from any foreign country.
Candidates must submit the prescribed application form, self-declaration, citizenship certificate, academic certificates, equivalence certificate if applicable, experience certificate, training certificate related to civil aviation or management if available, biodata, and a sealed business action plan of at least 3,000 words in Nepali or English. Applications must be submitted to the ministry in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu within seven days from the publication date.
The ministry will evaluate candidates on a total of 50 marks, including academic qualification, experience, business action plan, presentation and interview. Shortlisted candidates will be called for presentation and interview at the specified date, time and place.
