The Government of Nepal has issued additional clarifications regarding the registration and authorization of educational consultancies, language teaching institutions and test preparation centres. In a notice dated Ashoj 1, 2083 BS, the Ministry of Education and Sports clarified provisions of its earlier registration notice published on Bhadra 30, 2083 BS. The instructions were issued under the Educational Consultancy, Language Teaching and Preparation Classes (Operation and Management) Regulations, 2083, particularly Rule 3(2), Rule 3(7) and Rule 6(2), to ensure applicants submit appropriate documentation when seeking authorization to operate educational consultancy and language testing services.
According to the clarification, institutions that submitted applications by the end of Ashoj 2083 BS must provide company registration renewal and tax-clearance documents up to fiscal year 2082/83 BS. Applicants who submitted requests during the final days of the application period must also ensure their documents are complete. The ministry has instructed such institutions to upload any missing documentation to their existing application profiles without altering previously submitted information, following the registration procedures established in the earlier notice.
The ministry has further clarified that language testing centres authorized to conduct foreign-language proficiency examinations, as well as institutions permitted to administer examinations and issue language proficiency certificates, must submit proof of authorization from the relevant examination authority. The notice, signed by Under Secretary Sumanraj Koirala, emphasizes proper documentation and compliance with the applicable regulations. It does not announce a separate new registration programme or additional application fees but provides instructions to applicants under the existing authorization process.
