The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration circulated the instruction to all seven provincial governments on 2083/04/19, following a request from the Ministry of Education and Sports. The circular seeks provincial and local-level coordination for implementation of Nepal Scouts’ newly announced election schedule.

According to the Nepal Scouts letter, a decision dated 2083/04/05, taken under the direction of the Prime Minister in his role as patron of Nepal Scouts and the Chief Scout/Minister for Education and Sports, dissolved the National Council, all seven Provincial Councils and all functioning Local Councils. The Nepal Scouts Interim Executive Committee then met on 2083/04/08 and approved a timetable for rebuilding the organization’s elected councils.

Under that timetable, elections for the Provincial Councils and Local Councils must be completed within Magh 2083, while the Nepal Scouts National Council election is set for Falgun 21, 2083. Nepal Scouts has requested the federal administration ministry to ensure that provincial governments and local authorities receive the necessary information and provide coordination and administrative support for effective implementation of the election programme.

The Ministry of Education and Sports formally forwarded the Nepal Scouts request to the federal administration ministry, which in turn sent the instruction to provincial governments and directed that the matter be coordinated with relevant local levels.
