Health Ministry Seeks Applications for Chairperson of Organ Transplant Coordination Committee

The Ministry of Health and Food Safety has called for applications for the post of Chairperson of the Organ Transplant Coordination Committee constituted under Section 12 of the Human Body Organ Transplantation (Regulation and Prohibition) Act, 2055. The notice was published on Asar 25, 2083, and eligible applicants must submit the prescribed application and supporting documents to the ministry’s Policy, Planning and Monitoring Division at Singha Durbar by Shrawan 4, 2083, within office hours.

Applicants must be Nepali citizens permanently registered as specialist doctors with the Nepal Medical Council, hold at least a postgraduate degree in medical science, and have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience as a specialist doctor. The notice also requires experience in a leadership role related to health law, policymaking or public institutions.

The ministry will first verify applications and supporting documents and prepare a shortlist of candidates meeting the eligibility requirements. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited for a presentation and interview. The evaluation carries 30 marks for academic qualifications and experience, 35 marks for the presentation and 35 marks for the interview, with the presentation and interview to be conducted on the same day.
