Nepal’s Vector Borne Disease Research and Training Centre has invited technical and financial proposals to develop an updated Learning Resource Package for basic and refresher medical entomology training of health workers.

The Vector Borne Disease Research and Training Centre (VBDRTC), Hetauda, under the Ministry of Health and Population, has invited qualified consulting firms, companies or organisations to submit technical and financial proposals for developing training materials for health workers involved in medical entomology. The notice, published on Baisakh 17, 2083, gives interested applicants seven days to submit proposals in accordance with the attached Terms of Reference.

The assignment focuses on developing a comprehensive Learning Resource Package (LRP) for basic and refresher medical entomology training. The selected consultant will review existing reference and training materials, consult stakeholders and medical-entomology experts, prepare trainer guidelines and participant learning materials, develop curricula and session plans, conduct pre-testing and revisions, and produce final materials in print-ready and digital formats. The work will be coordinated with the National Health Training Centre (NHTC) and will also include development of a monitoring and evaluation checklist.

The assignment is expected to be completed within 45 days. Required outputs include an inception report with work plan and methodology, draft training guidelines, participant materials, a workshop report and final Facilitator’s Guide and Participants’ Manual. Applicants are expected to have relevant experience in developing health-sector training materials or curricula and technical knowledge of medical entomology. Selection will consider professional experience and expertise as well as the quality of the submitted technical and financial proposals.
