Nepal Government Seeks Nominations for Annual Human Rights Award

The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has opened the nomination process for the Government of Nepal’s annual Human Rights Award. The award is presented each year on the occasion of International Human Rights Day to recognize one individual and one institution for outstanding contributions to the protection and promotion of human rights.

Individuals or organisations wishing to recommend eligible candidates must submit their nominations in the prescribed format under the Human Rights Award Fund Operation Regulations, 2075 and the Human Rights Award Distribution Procedure, 2078. Required supporting documents must also be attached to the recommendation.

Nominations must be submitted within 21 days from the publication of the notice, either directly to the ministry or through its designated email address. The ministry said the relevant regulations, procedures and nomination requirements are available through its official website.
