The Ministry of Education and Sports has published information about the Future Global Leaders Scholarship (FGLS) Academic Year 2026 offered by Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII). The scholarship notice was forwarded through Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs after receiving communication from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Dhaka.
The scholarship is open to Nepali citizens seeking to study undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs in various majors at UII. Online registration is available through the university’s admission portal. Intake 1 runs from 1 February to 30 April 2026, while Intake 2 runs from 1 October to 30 November 2026 for postgraduate programs only.
The scholarship covers major expenses including registration fee, tuition fee, Indonesian language and culture courses, health insurance, living allowance, accommodation allowance, book allowance and thesis allowance. Applicants do not need a recommendation letter from the Indonesian Embassy, but they must submit language proficiency proof and attested academic certificates and transcripts. Selected scholarship awardees will be announced on 29 May 2026 for Intake 1 and 18 December 2026 for Intake 2.
