Deadly Bus Crash in Namo Buddha Leaves Eight Dead, Sixteen Injured

The Prime Minister’s Office has expressed condolences after a passenger bus accident in Kavrepalanchok killed eight people and injured sixteen others.

The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has issued a press release expressing deep sorrow over a passenger bus accident that occurred at around 2:15 PM on 2083 Jestha 29 in Buchchakot, Namo Buddha Municipality-2 of Kavrepalanchok district.

According to the statement, the bus with registration number Ba 3 Kha 8398 met with an accident, resulting in the death of eight passengers and injuries to sixteen others. The government expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

The rescue and treatment efforts were carried out with the active coordination of the District Administration Office Kavrepalanchok, Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, local level authorities and health institutions. The injured passengers are receiving treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital.

The government has directed concerned agencies to investigate the cause of the accident. It has also instructed authorities to ensure effective treatment for the injured and provide necessary support to the affected families.
